Precautions for the use of mite flutter

   Varroa destructor can carry various pathogenic micro-organisms such as bee acute or chronic parasitic virus,septicemia,and chalk disease pathogenic bacteria,so that they enter bee body through the wound,causing bees from sickness to death.  Varroa destructor not only harms bee larvae,sealed brood,infant bees,but also threaten to adult honey bees,which is often caused death of parasitized pupae in the bee colonies and weight loss,incomplete win gs or legs,short life span of infant bees after eclosion.  When adult bee colonies are severely parasitized,adult worker bees will be dead in large numbers,and new bees will not be able to breed,which can lead to a serious decline in group population and even death in the whole bee conolies.

    According to the differences of local climates and ecological conditions over the world,bee colonies usually have varroa mite treatment with medicines at least 2 to 3 times per year,otherwise the bee colonies will be completely destroyed within 1 to 2 years.  This indicates that the attack on the bee colony by Varroa destructor is devastating.

    Fluvalinate is a synthetic pyrethroid that is commonly used in the control of Varroa mites in bees. It may be applied in form of strips or other preparations. Fluvalinate Anti-Varroa Mite Strip comes in packages of yellow colored plastic strips

    Fluvalinate is a contact pesticide which kills the Varroa mite when they come into contact with it,providing up to 100% control of Varroa mites when properly used. The ease of applying the Varroa mite control strips makes them suitable for the seasoned beekeeper,the one who is just starting,commercial apiaries as well as small outfits. A single pack of this Varroa mite control solution is enough for small beekeeping operations. It gives you 20 strips to use in the affected beehives. You can also use the strips as a preventive measure to arrest infestations in their early stages or prevent them from happening at all

Precaution

• 1.Please air-dry the strips in the shade for 24~48 hours if you find the strips are wet or sticky to each other.Strips can be come in to use when there's no stickiness to fingers,otherwise it may cause harm to bees.Please do not place it under the Sun,otherwise the efficacy will be greatly decreasing.
• 2.Do not use this product when temperature is above 35C or below 15C.The product is not recommended to be applied to the situation such as migratory beekeeping,the beginning of hiving bee colonies,sugar deficiency for bees or other abnormal situation.
• 3.The said product can not be applied to bee colonies that have been fed with alkaline pollen such as China camellia pollen or other alkaline medicines and products recently or in the period of camellia collection.
• 4.The strips should not be placed continuously in beehive for more than 6 weeks.
• 5.When one decides to hang strips,please wear protective gloves and mask.Wash hands after use.
• 6.Disused strips should not be reused and should be disposed in a centralized place.
• 7.The strips are prohibited from contact with edible honey and should not be stored together with pesticides or other chemicals.
• 8.Store the said product somewhere away from food and children's reach and only unpack the packet when it is near to use.
• 9.Do not use this product during honey flow period.
